Miranda's New Revelation

Okay, adopting Hadassah has totally blown our pattern!  Every child in our family has been born two years apart.  All in even years.  It has been almost perfect.  Even Keziah.

1994 - Caleb
1996 - Miranda
1998 - Josiah
2000 - Elijah
2002 - Keziah
2003 - Hadassah?

Sooooooo...how can this be the right?

Keziah was chattering at lunch today about Christmas present opening.  Our family LOVES order even when opening gifts.  We use this system that the youngest person opens first.  Now we've learned over the years to open one at a time and keep the rotation going.  Keziah loved it when it was just our family because she was the youngest.  However, she has not forgotten that when we got together with my family that there was someone younger, "that boy."  The term "cousin" has not entered her vocabulary.  But she remembered "that boy." 

So Miranda wanders into the kitchen during this order of the gift opening conversation and suddenly has a new revelation.  I even had to confirm her ponderings on my computer calendar that has a record of all the cousins birthdates.

Hadassah completes another pattern!
