Colored Eggs

Some how I never manage to organize our life so that we color our Easter eggs before Easter weekend.  Life is crazy here as usual.  Christopher was out of town right before Easter.  Caleb worked on Saturday.  So after church on Sunday, we ditched the pretty clothes, put on comfy grubbies, and dived into the insanity of memory making.

Dad attempts to organize chaos

Keziah declared that the vinegar smells, "Yucky!"

Josiah listening for the fizzing to stop

Elijah listening closely to the last fizzles.

How many times did I tell that girl,
"Sit on your bottom!"?

Giving the mom/photographer attitude backfired for Caleb.
The pic looks like he is wearing a bow on his head.
Too funny!  LOL!

Love that smirky boy.

Hadassah anxiously waiting for the unknown.

Josiah waiting paiently.

Miranda, the artist in residence, preparing her masterpiece.

Adding a little color

Decisions...decisions...what color to start with.

Keziah trying a little decrative addition to her egg.

All smiles and silliness

Hard at work

Delicate dipping...keep your pinky raised.

Pink was giving us some trouble with consistent color.
Never fear!  Wade kids got creative!

Yep, those are my big kids consulting about color and creative options.
They take their egg decorating very seriously.

We gave up trying to tell Hadassah that the crayon didn't work on colored eggs.
She would dip it in dye puddles and decorate.

Keziah decided to sample some egg and grossed everyone out.

She thought she was soooooo funny.

Our sneak little girl's smile is hard to catch with the camera.

But her smiles and laughter fill our home.

Some of the pink egg creations

Five dozen masterpieces ready to be eaten!
How many ways to make eggs this week?

That's a lot of pictures, but I really did edit out a bunch of fun.
